The Soff-cut system is specifically designed to cut immediately after finishing a concrete floor.
Before the floor is fully cured, a 30mm deep cut is made to prevent cracking in unwanted areas.
As a result, the BT early entry 165mm saw has a number of advantages over a normal saw:

• – Prevents premature cracking in unwanted areas
• – Cutting the concrete floor is possible almost immediately after finishing
• – Time saving, finishing and sawing takes place on the same day
• – Lightweight and easy to handle
• – Little dirt and dust formation during sawing because the core of the floor is not yet hard.

How does the soff cut system work?

As concrete cures, shrinkage stresses occur that can lead to cracking. By applying saw cuts in the right places, the concrete will eventually crack inside the saw cut so it is not visible from the outside.
The soff-cut system is specially designed to allow a saw cut to be made while the core of the floor is still soft.
The saw blade on the BT soff-cut saw machine rotates counterclockwise in a guide rail, also called a skid. This guide rail is pressed against the cut and prevents pebbles or dirt from coming up from the soft core.
